Current material shortages and supply chain disturbance are the natural COVID-19 offspring. Quarantines didn’t just isolate people from one another but also the materials and equipment necessary for sustained economic prosperity. Value addition lingered in suspended animation while everyone attempted interpreting an “essential worker” definition.
